Ash Wednesday 聖灰禮儀

2月18 日 (星期三) 是聖灰禮儀，上午8:45 (粵語)、晚上 6:30 (英語)、晚上 8:00 (粵語) 彌撒中, 將為教友施放聖灰。請教友參與。 當日教友須守大、小齋。

February 18 is Ash Wednesday. Ashes will be distributed during the 8:45 a.m. (Cantonese), 6:30 p.m. (English) and 8:00 p.m. (Cantonese) Masses. Please observe abstinence and fasting on that day.

從該日開始教會禮儀年進入四旬期，教會鼓勵教友在四旬期內多行克己、守齋的神功，同時辦妥善告解、行愛德善功，求天主寬赦眾人之罪！雖然當日適逢農曆年初二，仍鼓勵教友於聖灰日當守大小齋。

During the Lenten season, Catholics are encouraged to lead a life of prayer, penance, abstinence and almsgiving while meditating on the passion of Jesus and begging for the atonement of sins. Even though it is the second day of Chinese New Year, abstinence and fasting is highly recommended on Ash Wednesday.

教友可將舊的聖枝帶回堂區處理，燒成灰後留在聖灰瞻禮時使用。

The church is now accepting blessed palm leaves from last year for burning. The ashes generated will be used for Ash Wednesday.
